We had a good turn out for the December jackpot. The weather was absolutely beautiful. Sure not what we expect from a Central Oregon winter. There were some rapid times. Denise was on fire this month. Good job! We are hoping that Mindy isn’t still hopping around All in all we had a really smooth day. I want to remind you to please call in the week prior, preferably on or before Thursday evening, (489-3350). It really helps me to get the sheets printed.
We’ve found out that another race has scheduled over the top of our April 3rd race. Since there are quite a few of you that are nominated for both series, the directors have been tossing around some options. There is nothing set in stone, but April is tentative at this time. We will let you know what the final verdict is by the next jackpot. I’m sure really frustrated with the date thing, and will do what I can to avoid this type of thing in the future.
It was stated in the last newsletter that we were checking into the Cinder Lakes facility in Powell Butte to hopefully run our last race. I finally received a call back, and evidently that arena is booked every Saturday through April and May for roping clinics. I guess we missed out, but at least we were able to put the first race on there.
Sure hope everyone is wintering well and didn’t eat too much over the Holidays. See everyone on the 30th of January at 9:00 in Madras. Any questions give me a call
